(Block Track) Health check on the PAYMENT leg: Ready to carry or still aching?

With the European Central Bank’s (ECB) DLT settlement trials well underway and discussions surrounding wholesale central bank digital currencies (wCBDCs) taking over headlines in the financial sector, it’s not hard to imagine that we might be on the verge of a major breakthrough in payments. Yet, there are obstacles – both regulatory and technological – to overcome before this becomes reality.

From interoperability to lobbying efforts for digital currencies, the push for a licensed stablecoin to the pros and cons of public chains, this panel looks at all things payment and the missing ingredients that are required before the next stages of development in the sector can fall into place.
